ABOUT

US national Stephen “Paco” Briggs is a young aspiring player with Bellavista U.D. in Seville, Spain. Stephen’s versatile skills have allowed him to play as a forward, left and right wing as well as in back positions throughout 10-year development path. Stephen is ambidextrous, able to use both left and right foot equally well.


Stephen was born in 2005 in New Hampshire. Stepping on the path of soccer development at the age of seven, Stephen has grown from an amateur player with a local youth soccer league to a pro candidate. Stephen has been accepted into Olympic Development Programs in New Hampshire and Massachusetts from 2017 to 2020 achieving a position on State teams and showing excellent results.

In order to develop his skills Stephen joined New England Revolution Professional Edge Program between 2018 and 2020 in Foxboro, MA as well as attended Barca Residential Academy camps and programs in 2018 and 2019 in Casa Grande, AZ.


Teams Stephen played on were: Epsom Youth Athletic Association (NH) in 2012-2015, FC Revolution United (NH) in 2016-2018, FC Seacoast United in 2018-2019, FC Valeo (MA) in 2019-2020.

In early 2020, Stephen was invited to join Spain Soccer Academy in Seville, Spain where he is currently being developed as a player by former LaLiga pro players Enrique Romero, Dani Alexandre (also Spanish National Team player), and Diego Segura. While in Spain, Stephen was also signed by U.D. Bellavista (2020-2021). and C.M.D. San Juan (2021-2022) to play in Andalucia regional leagues. While training with SSA, Stephen has played in Games against Barcelona FC, Sevilla FC, Real Betis FC, Cadiz, Cordoba academy teams as well as numerous local football clubs. “Stephen was awarded “Top Scorer” title at the end of 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 season playing at Spain Soccer Academy.

Stephen had his last half season with Spain Soccer Academy in the beginning of the 2023-24 season. He was given the captains armband for his academy team because of his veteran status with the team and leadership ability. Stephen went back to his first club, U.D. Bellavista to play with their first team at the highest level league he had played at yet.

 

For the latter half of the season, Stephen has been playing in the USA where he had been getting recognition for his high level of play for his age. He received a trial opportunity from USL League One team Northern Colorado Hailstorm, but couldn't attend due to injury.
